It is with great sadness that I have learnt that Takis from Armourada has passed away today. For those of you who are unsure who he is, it is the man with the handlebar moustache who used to sit outside the supermarket on the crossroads. A lovely Man and a colourful Character who I'm  sure most people spoke with during their time in Arillas.  RIP xx

oh that is so sad, we saw him in september, i believe he had just come out of hospital after a stroke then, he looked frail, but we thought he was doing ok.

I am so happy that someone else started this post as I have found it difficult to put "pen to paper".

His cheery chuckle and big "tache" will be missed by, not only , many of you Arilliacs but also by "newbies who he also had time to spend and chat with, outside the supermarket.

I spent , not only many summer afternoons with him but also enjoyed his company over 9 Winters.

I thought he would live forever.... I was wrong.

Wendy and I will, not only,  keep him in our thoughts but feel a great sadness for Kiki , Leon, Vasilis and family at this very traumatic time.

so sad to hear about Takis, such a lovely old chap who always greeted you with a smile as you passed by the supermarket. I spoke to him in October and he seemed to be improving. will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. my condolences to the family.

We are so very sad to learn this awful news. Takis was an example to us all with his cheery, outgoing and caring nature. The world is a much smaller place today with his passing. RIP Takis.

Our deepest sympathy to all of the family at this traumatic and difficult time.

Such very sad news, he always had a wave and a smile for us as we walked down from the Mathraki.

He and Bill had a little routine going all the years we knew him....as we approached from the Mathraki Bill would wave and stroke his moustache and Takis would grin and stroke his, then shake his head as he indicated that it would NEVER be as good as his.

He looked very frail when we last saw him, but still smiling. Heartfelt condolences to all the family.
