Title: Cash Passport
Post by: TerryW on May 11, 2012, 03:00:35 PM
I found out today that I can buy Euro's at anytime, online, to top up my Travelex Card. This means that by careful monitoring of the rates, I can react quickly and get my holiday Euro's. The only downside is that its limited to £750 per day. Todays rate was 1.215630

I did a bit of research on the fantastic Money Saving Expert website ( http://www.moneysavingexpert.com ) and found this very informative page  http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/travel/2012/05/should-you-buy-euros-now.

I think I am now going to check rates at least twice a day to see the latest trend, and top up my card when I think the time is right. The ability to do an immediate topup online makes this quite easy. Below is current graph from BBC

Wish I had got £750 to spend for my entire holiday - never mind per day :-(
That's very helpful info tho' Terry - Thanks.

Can you use the card in all the places in Arillas?

Most places take the cash passport & can be used at the ATM. I dont think the Coconut does.
