The foot path to San Stefanos is now safe again.!
This Morning some work has been done.
It looks very attractive again.
The magic of "Arillas Spirit" has worked again.
I'm looking for ward to hear your feed back and see you pictures when you come over to see it.
Best regards,
-
Efharisto Dimitris - we are arriving tomorrow so what perfect timing!
Hopefully we can thankyou in person tomorrow night - If the plane is on time we should should make Brouklis for 9pm.

Excellent news Dimitris :-)
So glad I don't have to pack my climbing gear for August! ;-)

Thanks to all who helped fix this problem.
Can`t wait to try it out. Are there any more dangerous, narrow parts further up? Looking at the photo, just around the bend seems narrow.
See you soon, Dimitris.

Brilliant news, we are so pleased. Thank you for all the hard work you have done Dimitris.
Thanks also to everyone who helped make it happen.

My mistake. Didn`t look close enough. Can see the detour now.

wow - fantastic! Well done to all of those in Arillas who made this happen. The whole world should holiday in Greece as this is a step beyond what can be expected in other holiday areas!
Brilliant - can't wait to walk that path in July!
-
Wonderful news! I know that for many visitors, that coastal walk to Ag Stefanos is an important part of being in Arillas. And now it is safe again, we can all rest easy that there should not be a nasty accident.
Absolutely the right outcome. Efharisto Dimitris for leading the way in this.

Safe passage along the donley track
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN
We look forward to our walks to San Steph and back, usualy returning by the cliff path. Dot made it down last year but said she would not do it again.
I know we will be going along the path again this year now that the new path has been made.
Get the coke on ice Nickos, we will be up to see you.

That's fantastic news, and a big efharisto to Dimitris and every one in Arillas who helped. It look like there is a slight detour in land from looking at the second photo.
I am so happy now, because I have family members and other friends who have never been to Arillas before, coming this year, and I just want everything to be perfect for them to see the complete Arillas magic.
I am having a very happy Sunday now.

arillas is full of surprises........yammas....x

Cracking news! I'll send the mother-in-law up to test it out in a couple of weeks, probably in the dark!

This is just one of the reasons why we are coming back for our 20th year.
A big thank you to all, and see you soon.

Will hopefully see you at Akrotiri again Mick, or in Arillas. Just over 5 weeks now.
-
A huge 'thank you' to everybody who made this happen xx
-
John, being a mother-law your remark was not amusing.
Val x
But I did find it very funny :) :)
-
Excellent news, we like to have a drink at sunset in Akrotiri then amble down the path to our evening meal. The alternative route works Ok but its just not the same. Thanks to all who made this possible again this year. Yammas!

MnM, I reckon even her-indoors would have a job to push the wheelchair off the cliff now... I still remember the youtube record of last time........ Er no, that was in "mad alley" on the road to Tria from Brouklis.
20 years may seem a lifetime, but when you find quality, you don't let it go if you've got one grain of sense. I found Arillas when I was 50 and am clinging on for dear life. I guess the Donkey track is for folks younger than me, but they will still want it in 20 years time.

We're looking forward to trying it out in the next few days ..... :-))
We love to walk round the village on "our" circular tour, and usually manage once to Afionas but very rarely pop over to San Stef. We do love to pop up to visit Nikos though at Akrotiri and we also call in at the Gravia bar (can't remember their names now, but we always get a warm welcome)

Mick, how did you recognise me? At that point in your graphic the forum had gone down for 20 seconds.....
It all depends which mark, m8. I come up to many Marks, and they coudn't care less. Marys seem a bit more interested, even my mother's sister who we called Babs, but being rooted in County Roscommon, it is always the Micks that I come up to.....

What great news after a lovely sunny Sunday here in Eyemouth. Can't wait to walk the trail again, especially as we have friends staying in San Stephanos while we are in Arillas. Looking forward to a few cocktails in the Akrotiri! Thanks Dimitri. Well done!! x
-
Val, I love the mother-in-law really, I just try to hide it well. We're bringing Nic's parents this year as they've been so good to us over the years we wanted to give them a treat for once. We messed around so much in picking the right villa that the one we wanted (Linakis) was booked by the time we made our decision! We've ended up having to book a villa (Romanza) over the hill in San Steph unfortunately, but we'll be over in arillas at some point each day. We fly 3 weeks today.
-
So John you're really a big softie at heart, if we ever meet I know I will like you. :)

Many thanks Dimitri, you are so good at sorting things out, why not have a go at being a politician !!!!!
-
Dimitris is far too honest to be a politician.

Not ALL politicians are dishonest Terry......

My brother.....

That's nice to know Sandy, but its a low percentage that are honest. Is your brother a MP Sandy?
-
Thank you Dimitris and all who helped. The view from the top is fantastic + a leisurely lunch and sip with Nikos makes it a worth the effort. Well done again Boss
-
A HUGE thank you to everyone who assisted in making the repairs to the donkey track a reality. Am really looking forward to using it next month to walk to Akrotiri and San Steph. In fact I am just SO looking forward to returning to my personal paradise after a year's absence. A special thank you Dimitris for helping to make this happen for all of us who love Arillas x
-
It indeed is a fantastic bit of news, we did not make the trek in 2010, but were planning to go again in June/July. Now we can. Big thanks to all involved.
