Title: Horizon now
Post by: Karen/Colin on March 04, 2011, 03:02:45 PM
Hi everyone, we decided at last minute to change the week were coming out so were unable to book into the marina, but lucky for us we managed to get a room at the Horizon. I am sure both are lovely places to stay but we did fancy staying a an hotel this time!
i understand the Horizon does a good breakfast & the rooms look lovely.

I am sure Terry can fill me in!

The breakfast is lovely and to sit and eat it overlooking the sea is great.

I have fruit juice, cereals with fruit and toast with Mary's homemade preserves. There is also a continental selection like cheese, croissants etc. You can pay extra for a full English. Mary is a fantastic cook and she can't do enough for you.

Hi Karen and Colin,
Like Terry, I'm a big fan of Horizon and can only reccomend it.
Breakfast is great and yes, with homemade jam, yummy!
Watching the sunsets from the top deck is also the best place
for taking photos, as wel as to meet people and chill out.

Does anyone know if Christos (pictured below) is playing at the Horizon this year? He was playing every Thursday night, last year, and I thought he was excellent with a repertoire of songs to suit everybody.

Thanks Viv :-)

Now, as you are being so kind, is there anything else I need to know about the Horizon?

It was worth a try!!!!

I'm a bit disappointed. I spoke to Marinos on Friday and he told me that the top two rooms aren't available this year. Its a shame because they are lovely rooms, but then again the other rooms are very nice as well. I suppose you can't have everything :-(.

Yes Nick, he is using the rooms for himself.
