Hi
Can anyone point me in the direction of a fair price single trip family holiday insurance?
We got a good deal last year, but I can't find the old documents!
Thanks Dave

Hi Adrienne an Dave we tend to use Insure and Go and they do family insurance , here's the link to the site

Thanks Tony
Seems like a good deal and some good cover
-
At least you get 4 options of cover level you can also add certain things that you personally may require .
The only thing i can't advise you on is what they are like if you make a claim as we never have

We use Columbus Direct. They are good if you have existing medical conditions as you can choose whether or not to have them covered (some existing/previous conditions are unlikely to cause hospitalisation, but other companies will penalise you for them)

Try a comparison site for best value...which may not necessarily the cheapest...
Moneysupermarket
Confused.com

For anyone with medical conditions to take care of I can thoroughly recommend JLT Travel Insurance
http://www.jlttravel.co.uk
My partner was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma last year and JLT's annual policy for the both us, covering his MM was less that the cost of M&S's renewal quote - and they wanted more than double to cover for MM.

Try clubdirect.co.uk always found them very good before we needed medical insurance.

The best price deals I have aver had were from Atlas Direct and Flexicover. Just google either and their sites will come up.Last year annual cover for me and Ann including some existing medical cover was £49 !!!!

I have managed to get some really low prices this year when I have searched. As always though, if they can wriggle out of paying up they will so read the small print. The year xl went bust, we had a horrendous delay and should have receives £125 but as we never got a letter from airline we were stuffed and obviously uncontactable due to the situation.1 question I have, this year we are bringing a friend for my eldesta.can I add him onto our 'family' insurance or should I tell his mum to sort?
-
think he will have to be living at the same address, probably easier on you to get his mum to sort it!

this is really helpful as Ol has recently had treatment for cancer. our normal insurance will not cover and we have obtained European health insurance card, do we need additional cover?

You will only get the same treatment as Greek nationals if you fall ill,
so you really need travel insurance. The EHIC is ok if you have a minor injury but not if you need medicines or treatment of a specialist.
Both Bill and I have health problems and would never travel without insurance. You must also declare all issues or your insurance is invalid.
Check out sites for medical insurance, just Google.

Jo, I managed to cover Gemma's friend when she came with us, she didn't need her own policy, just needed to name everyone going in the party x

Jo, just done my shopping in Asda, saw some leaflets on the till,
Kids go FREE. Think Cheryl is right, you will just have to name everyone on the policy.
