Title: Vehicles on the Beach
Post by: Ann K on June 29, 2008, 02:53:10 PM
Just wondered what the old vehicles were doing on the beach in the picture of the day.  It looks as if they are from the old Heritage Trail.  Am I correct?  And are they still there as it looks as if they may be from the webcam but it's not a very good angle for seeing them?  Is it some kind of an exhibition? Or has the donut man now got transport?

Hi Ann K!

I think that is a very old picture, maybe from the 60er or 70er!
For me it looked like that!
There is no street, where those stand is crushed stone way!
I think Dimitris want to show us how it looked years ago :)

They are fabulous Dimitris. Jen and me should have been the Swiss hippies who set up home out there with you all in the seventies. Eileen asked would we ever have come back - the answer is NO.

We are still abroad, but we are coming home in a few days time.

love to Litsa and bebis
Phil

Thanks Marika and Dimitris for putting me right.  What a fool!  I should have realised that it was an old picture.  Thanks especially, Dimitris for posting those old pictures.  They are lovely.  Although Arillas is still quiet and beautiful, just a few years ago there was hardly anything there - what bliss.  Anyway, the Heritage Walk was great while it lasted and it's only just over six weeks before Paul and I will be back for our annual dose of heaven. Best wishes to you all.
