Title: Weather in October
Post by: Pip on October 03, 2016, 01:15:56 AM
Coming out 7 October for a week. First time this late in the year. Do we need jumpers and raincoats???

I would think yes....but only as a precaution, last year it was very mixed at the beginning of October, we had rainy days and days of glorious sunshine so it's best to be prepared. Even if the days are fine the evenings tend to be quite cool. Good luck 😀

The recorded monthly rainfall, for last October, was 106mm , but also gave temps of 22-26deg over the first two weeks.
(Did hit 27deg on one day!!)

We had 15mm rain overnight but now it's a dry 23 deg day, so far.

So, agree with Val, bring a jumper and raincoat as a couple of mornings, last October, it was a struggle to get above 12 deg,

Cheers

Agreed. Always worth having something warm and something to keep you dry in October, although I have been generally lucky with the weather on the occasions I have been in October.

Only another 3 sleeps and I will be back there to find out for myself what this year will bring :-)
