We are coming back for the 24th consecutive year on the 27th July for 2 weeks, staying at Kaloudis as usual, and meeting all our old friends and meeting new ones and we cant wait............yaaaay.

Wow, 24 years in a row! Surely that must be a record Alan.
It is a pity digital cameras were not around then, I would have loved to have seen some photos.
No need to tell you and Joyce to have a good time...you two just KNOW you will!

Wow thats amazing, i was 4 when you first started going to Arillas!!
Has it changed alot in those 24 years or not much, could you tell us how it was that first time you went there, if you dont mind of course :-) !

Hello Allan & Joice ,
Your post inspired me for starting the "Arillas regular visitors" (http://www.arillas.com/page/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,146/topic,2022.msg19274) mebergroup in our forum.
You have seen Arillas more during the years and I feel that I ought to have and extra forumgroup for all of you. Of cource there are a lot of people that have been coming to Arillas over the years that do not use the internet at all or they just only surf the net without posting anything who I know personaly and they know me since I was a boy...
OH!!! just to remind everyone that If there are any OLD pictures of our area that you can dig out from your loaf stuf or cellar and copy them you are welcome to bring them to us for the old Arillas picture gallery. If you are not good with scaning or copying you can bring them over and I can scan them for you.

I originally went twenty one years ago. We stayed at the Kaloudis. The only pool that was available was were the Marinaki appartments stand now. They had an outside disco area and it was fantastic.
On the sea front there was no Mirage, Horizon. But other than that not a lot has changed in all that time.

We certainly can't compete with 24 years, but tomorrow we will be flying out for the 3rd year in a row.
It's the only destination either one of us have had a real desire to go back to.
Anyway, 1 more sleep and we'll be on our way!!!!

Hi Alan and Joyce just read that you are returning back to arillas for your 24th time.Wow.Although as from the 24th of august it will be my 2nd time of returning back to Arillas with my boyfriend.I knew the first time i went it captured my heart and there is something very special about it which excited me on returning back.One of my favorite memmories (although i know may sound daft to some),was watching the sun set on the jetty eating a freshly made pizza and a can of coke with the man i adore very much.

Well. Lucky you! we have ben going for 11 years now but I don'y think we have been licky enough to meet we are they twicw this year at Kaloudis, in late June July and again in September. We loved the arilas Inn and really mised it last year when it closed but had some good nights at Ammos. Maybe we will see you some time, I hope we will make 24 years!

Wow you have been going the whole of my lifetime! AS IF!!! No really, you must really love it and it must seem like going home now. This will be our 3rd visit and cant believe we have become so attached to the place, didnt think we could find anywhere to rival our favourite spot in Crete but we think Arillas far out does that now, even though we have some very special memories in Crete.
