Some super photos appearing on this A to Z theme.  I have gone back to May 2003 for the next one which was taken in Corfu Town and is the Enosis MONUMENT which commemorates the time on  21st of May, 1864, when the Ionian Islands were donated by the British to the new King of Greece.

Forget the speedos what I love most about Patrick's posts (well obv AFTER the speedos) are the accurate descriptions of wherever the fab photos were taken! Pat for president!!

Thanks Truth and Jo for your comments.  I love to know the story behind things I see (and photograph) - perhaps it comes of being nosy - but then my whole career was spent being nosy so I can't help it.  Am already president of the local Probus club so can't take on any more heavy responsibilities - perhaps we might look to Jo to be President of the A to Z club!!

Back to May 2003 to the days when we hadn't found Arillas and stayed at Sidari.  On hired bikes we found Kounavades and these wonderful trailing PELARGONIUMS (generally called geraniums).
