It's July and the beachfront looks even better!
It looks like we are having the widest sandy beach since a couple of decades .
Even the unluckiest "Pedros beach" in font of Mirage Taverna is having some really large space to put his sunbeds, bedaloes, cannoes and his Brand new Stand UP padles.

An Aerial beach report from Arillas on 15th August at 09:0 in the morning with the help of our friend Christopher. The sandy beach is one of the Best we have seen over the last 20 years. It is ideal for families with kids and for those looking for a quiet type of holiday. The beach front establishments are offering drinks and snacks on their sunbeds and they are responsible for looking after the beach too. However, it never seems overcrowded as the are large spaces of sand along the 3Km of sandy beach.

Monks and gurus at our beach "1st April 2017" happy April fools day
The Arillas community is bringing in to the area a “spiritual" group of volunteers that will keep the place clean and tidy all year round. The groups of these monks from Asia will be living in Arillas for the next few years teaching the zen and zin to the locals. Their main job will be to help the community gain a better understanding of the life in an economical crisis. Today they started cleaning the beach and every sunday they will be there to help in any practical public actions like, streaming, pruning, painting, building and keeping our beach and other areas of Arillas Clean from the rubbish that our tourists and locals live behind them.

The first day of the Greek Spring...
Clean Monday (KATHARI DEFTERA) is the beginning of the great Lent before the Greek Easter.
Because Clean Monday is also traditionaly considered to mark the first day of spring, we tend to celebrate it with picnics or going out at a local taverna. These activites are called 'koulouma'.
Traditional foods include olives, octopus, and shrimp. In addition to picnics, outdoor activities used to celebrate the day include flying kites, dancing, music, etc.
There were not only kites flying but also a paramotor and a dellta-plane. !
